Description

The interactive StoryMap, "A case study on the Escazú Agreement: Amplifying Caribbean voices on regional environmental matters through collective civil society advocacy", was produced by the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI).

This StoryMap examines recent work by the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) to bring civil society organisations (CSOs) together in a collective advocacy effort. The effort was designed to engage civil society in effective national and regional advocacy to influence Caribbean countries' participation in the Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean (referred to as the Escazú Agreement). This case study highlights not only the who, what, when, why and how that inspired and drove this work, but also the key insights and lessons gleaned by all involved.

This work was supported by the regional *PISCES project funded by the European Union (ENV/2016/380-530).
