Sixty (60) civil society groups from across Trinidad and Tobago recently delivered an open letter to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, urging his government to sign and ratify the Escazú Agreement on good environmental governance.
The Escazú Agreement is a regional agreement on access to information, public participation and justice in environmental matters in Latin America and the Caribbean."
This open letter is part of a national advocacy campaign, calling on the TT Government to SIGN and RATIFY the Escazú Agreement on September 26th, during the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The campaign is being led by the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI), Environment Tobago, EquiGov Institute and The Cropper Foundation. Keep up to date on the latest developments here (the attached document will be periodically updated).
